We don’t need a concrete base for our garden rooms, nor do you have to provide one.
We supply and install large galvanised steel screw foundations. This method is extremely versatile and durable and is actually stronger than pouring a traditional concrete base. It also reduces the amount of soil / dig out necessary if using concrete, which is useful if the only access is through the house.
Your garden room will be built off the ground and will allow for the structure to breathe underneath which will eliminate any damp issues.
SIP panel construction manufactured in the UK.
Using the best grade structural insulated panels (SIP’s) we install garden rooms with the highest U values of any garden room, making ours the cheapest garden rooms to heat. Better for you and the environment. Cheaper SIP panels are available from overseas but we prefer to use a British company. This also significantly reduces the garden rooms’ carbon footprint.
A single ply EPDM roof covering, with no joins, provides a durable and proven zero maintenance roof. The edges of the roof are finished in a colour coded trim and have colour coded fixings and end caps. The front and two side elevations will have a neat upstand as standard and the water will drain to the rear of the building. We will attach a gutter and downpipe at the rear.
Attractive and long lasting.
Cedar is a great material and is very popular with our clients. It has a beautiful rich colour and has natural preservatives that prove it to be extremely resistant to all weather conditions. Our cedar is of the highest grade and is the thickest available cladding on the market at 18mm.
Do ask us if you would prefer a different cladding. Other options include: Corten steel (looks like rusty metal), powder coated aluminium, other timber cladding including more rustic styles and painted timbers – we have noticed that black painted and reclaimed timber have been popular this year.
Aluminium Bi-Folds & Windows
Unlike composite or UPVC bi-fold doors, these powder coated aluminium bi-folds are sleek, stylish and maintenance-free.
Made in the UK and endorsed by the Metropolitan Police for their high security levels (8 lever locking system), these doors really are of the highest quality. Available in a variety of colours, they allow the maximum natural light into the room.
Timber Structure & Roof
All our timber is sourced from sustainably managed forests.
This is very important to us as a company and we are doing all we can to be environmentally friendly. This structure itself is a very solid one.
The frameworks are built using high grade timber. The walls and the floor are pressure treated with laneith E wood preservatives.
The roof is felt lined and is a safe, durable and proven roof covering. The edge details on all our roofs are finished with an aluminium or cedar trim.
The same finish as you would expect in your own home.
After the walls have been plaster boarded and the first-fix electrics are in place, your ceiling and walls will be plastered. We will provide you with paint colour charts including Farrow & Ball, Dulux and Leyland. From these you can choose any colour. Skirting boards and any architraves will be finished in a matt or gloss finish.
We will give you a choice of engineered hardwood flooring and will bring the samples to you to make choosing easier.
We will provide ample lighting and plug sockets for your garden room. All fittings can be in brushed, stainless steel or white finish. If you prefer something different then just ask. We will also provide a dimmer switch for the main lighting. Sockets with 'in-built' USB adaptors are also available for a slight upgrade of £17+VAT per socket.
We can even install a bathroom or shower room, or how about a kitchen? Or maybe you simply need some extra storage, in which case we can incorporate storage rooms either internally or externally for garden tools, bicycles etc.
Last but not least, we can provide internet and TV points if you require.
